We are pleased to present Trio – a blend of 80% Vidal Blanc, 18% Chardonnay and 2% Viognier grown in the hills of Maryland. The resulting wine offers bright aromas, refreshing acidity and a hint of sweetness. Crafted with minimal intervention and fermented with native yeast in stainless steel.
This dry Rosé is a field blend of Syrah and Merlot grown on a rocky hillside in northern Maryland. The resulting wine is characterized by lively aromas, refreshingly light texture and crisp acidity. Fermented with native yeast at cool temperatures in stainless steel to preserve its delicate charm.
"This is a far more refreshing and vibrant style than most any mid-Atlantic Viognier I've tasted. Picked a bit earlier, the wine shows brisk acidity and, while fruity, is stays away from that extracted tropical style. Bright floral aromas. Crisp on the palate but the peach and melon fruit also has some honey notes. I love this style." - Isaac James Baker
This Chardonnay, grown in channery loam soils overlaying a bedrock of greenstone schist, offers bright aromas and rich complexity. A timely harvest on September 23rd captured brisk acidity from the vineyard. Fermented with native yeast in a mix of 75% stainless steel and 25% French oak. 210 cases bottled April 23, 2015.
"Dark, saucy berries mix with cinnamon, clove and pepper. The mouthfeel is rich but velvety smooth. Serious structure for the cellar, but it's got the juicy fruit to make it immediately pleasurable. Lots of pepper, earth, charcoal and clove complexity. Wow, I'd love to sit down with some friends and taste this over the course of an evening, or pop a bottle in five years." - Isaac James Baker
